Character Name: Devon Elise Forrester (twin sister to Daemon Forrester)

Age: 27-32 (can fluctuate pending rp circumstances)

History:
Witch-Verse: (Default) Typically written in the present-day, Devon is a scion of a very large family of Scot-Irish practitioners, dating back centuries to the time of the Druids. Daughter to two magical practitioners (as a sideline hobby, not a profession), Devon makes it her business to acquire and sell/catalog magical artifacts, by whatever means necessary. She is an accomplished thief, swindler, "procurer" of items for the right price, and seldom allows morality to interfere. Her magic does not rely on spells or hexes, although those are not unheard of by her family, but rather from within, giving her almost sorcerer-potential, but by necessity keeps her abilities on the downlow. Her element is ice/cold, and if necessary, she will not hesitate to use it.

Modern setting: Business major turned escort turned courtesan for "special" clients. Thanks to her parents cutting off all financial support, clearly expecting their children to "work their way through school", Devon discovered that college was expensive, and a friend convinced her that being "arm-candy" for wealthy businessmen wasn't that bad of a way to earn quick cash. With her high-class social graces, her witty charm and, let's face it, firm young body coupled with great tits and ass, it didn't take Devon long to procure a list of "clients". A few of those clients were even willing to pay a helluva lot more to take things to the next level, and since Devon figured it was simply the next logical step anyway, had no hesitation taking their money, having no qualms whatsoever about spending fifteen minutes pretending to be whatever the poor (but paying) wretch desired. Having built her financial empire on sex (with a legitimate escort business as a front), she now lives (sometimes with her twin brother--they have a very special sibling relationship) in a modestly appropriated townhouse on the Upper East Side, NY.

AU/Fantasy setting: Daughter of a poor nobody from a simple forgotten village, Devia was taken from her family at a young age by a philanthropic lord due to her beauty even as a child. She was educated, given court and political training (as far as women are allowed into politics) and was expected to repay this generosity with her body once she had matured. Thus began her rise with her sexuality as a weapon--she eventually charmed her way into the bed of the ruling Emperor, amassing more power than his recognized wives. One of them, however, was just as much of a snake and schemer; Devia was lucky to escape the realm with her life. But she managed to land on her feet and began to assemble her power base all over again, this time using what she'd learned to procure her own clients, offering services to the wealthy on her own terms.


Personality: The elder twin by seven and a half minutes, Devon generally takes the lead in most family decisions. She is the more aggressive twin by far, well able to either bully, cajole, or otherwise persuade her brother to go along with whatever plan or decision she presents.

A business major, Devon has a keen head for numbers and economics. She is calculating, polished, with a sharp sense of humor, bordering almost on the cynical. When not "working", she tends to let her demeanor and appearance speak for her, utilizing the power of (sensual, usually) suggestion to streamline her way through everyday life. ((Note: In the modern setting only. ))

When it comes to morality, Devon spares scarcely a thought. With her profession, one can hardly afford to be prudish, after all. She sells her time, her companionship, and her body at quite a high price, as she knows well her own worth. High-class and beautiful, she takes her work very seriously, adapting whatever persona is requested by her clients. However, as discretion is a vital part of any prostitute's career, she does not "kiss and tell".

Devon does, however, have a bit of a soft spot for "hard luck cases", particularly in a historical/fantasy setting, serving as matron to those who live beneath her roof. She knows what it is to come from literally nothing, to have no hopes or future, and does her best to motivate her charges to better themselves in any way possible. She is also a good listener, giver of comfort when necessary, and a source of information to those with the most coin (or trust), as nothing is ever really free.

Appearance: Dark hair, green eyes, favors expensive, tailored clothing over anything casual. Has no scars, no tattoos or other identifying marks.
